Job Description

Front Desk Receptionist- Ophthalmology Practice (Cornea Specialty) We are excited to welcome a friendly and dependable Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our busy ophthalmology practice. This role is often the first and last interaction our patients have with our office, so we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and creating a positive, welcoming experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone Check patients in and out while ensuring a smooth, respectful, and pleasant experience Schedule appointments efficiently using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) systems Verify insurance information and collect copays and outstanding balances with care and professionalism Maintain accurate patient information and support daily front-office operations Communicate clearly and kindly with providers, clinical staff, and patients
Qualifications:
A strong commitment to customer service and compassionate patient care Comfortable working with elderly patients and individuals with varying needs Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask while remaining calm and organized in a fast-paced environment Comfort with computers and electronic systems Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Schedule & Requirements:
Full-time (only) Flexible availability required, including periodic Saturdays Occasional travel between our Hoffman Estates and Arlington Heights office is required. We are looking for someone who is reliable, kind, and team-oriented , and who takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable, supported, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
