Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience, and maintaining accurate medical records. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in medical billing and office management, and the ability to work with various healthcare software systems. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide information to patients.
- Maintain patient records and ensure documentation review is completed accurately.
- Assist with medical billing processes, including verifying insurance information and processing payments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop care plans and ensure all necessary documentation is in place.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for data entry and management of health information.
- Perform general office management tasks, including filing, organizing documents, and maintaining office supplies.
- Ensure compliance with health information management regulations and confidentiality standards. Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical billing practices and insurance verification processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using computerized office systems and software, including electronic health records (EHR) platforms like Epic.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
