This energetic role is vital in creating a positive patient experience from the moment they walk through our doors. You'll handle appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, and dental record management with professionalism and enthusiasm. Duties Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage patient check-in and check-out processes Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Verify patient insurance coverage and process medical billing using health insurance knowledge including Medicare, HIPAA compliance, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical collection procedures Maintain accurate patient records and review documentation for completeness and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, triaging calls and directing inquiries appropriately Manage electronic health records (EHR systems) including data entry, documentation review, and updating patient information Support administrative tasks such as typing reports, managing office supplies, and assisting with clinic operations to ensure smooth front desk workflow Requirements Proven experience in a dental front desk or administrative support role within a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems Dentrix Ascend or similar platforms Familiarity with dental billing procedures including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, Medicare & PPO claims processing and health insurance procedures Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel; strong typing skills (10 key typing preferred) Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA compliance Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills with experience managing medical records and appointment schedules This position is paid and offers an engaging environment where your administrative expertise directly contributes to providing exceptional patient care.
