Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. This role requires strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle various administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Medical experience a plus. Will Train. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process. Computer experience a must. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively. Handle phone calls using multi-line phone systems, providing excellent customer service and phone etiquette. Verify patient insurance information and manage medical billing processes. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Process medical collections and assist with CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding as needed. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems. Conduct documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information. Assist with clerical tasks including filing, typing, and data entry. Provide support for care plans and coordinate with healthcare providers as necessary.
