Dental Front Desk Receptionist Inspired Dental Studio Medford, MA Job Details Full-time $22 - $30 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Dental receptionist Medical scheduling Administrative experience Dental terminology Dentrix Organizational skills Computer skills Full Job Description We are a newer, technology advanced dental practice in Medford, looking for Front Desk coverage to replace an employee who is moving out of state. Some things about us? We opened 3 years ago, and take pride in our exceptional costumer service and individual attention given to our patients. Our practice is owned by 2 general dentists that work Monday - Thursday, alternating days. Each day would include you, 1 assistant, 1 hygienist and 1 doctor. Our hours of operation are 7:30am (first patient at 8am) to 4pm. We are looking for someone with prior dental knowledge, including scheduling and dental insurances. Cross trained with clinical would be a huge plus, but not necessary. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: Exercise excellent customer service while interacting with patients both over the phone and in person. Check in all patients and complete patient registration. Schedule patient appointments within operational standards. Confirm patient appointments two (2) business days prior to the patients' appointments. Complete insurance verifications two (2) business days prior to all (general and specialty) patients' visits to determine coverage and benefit limits and link insurance in Dentrix Ascend. Complete check out process with each patient by reviewing charts to ensure that all information is written properly and procedures are documented and match the signed routing slip that the general dentist or specialist has submitted. Quote patients copays, Ensure pre-authorizations are received prior to appointments, if required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic clerical and administrative skills. Excellent customer service skills with professional and courteous phone etiquette. Basic knowledge of insurance and dental terminology preferred. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix Ascend preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. Previous insurance and/or dental office experience preferred.
