Our front desk plays an important role in creating a positive experience for our young patients and their families while keeping the practice running smoothly. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, personable, and able to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, communicates well with both patients and coworkers, and takes pride in doing their work accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Welcome patients and families in a warm, professional, and friendly manner. Manage patient check-in and check-out while maintaining an efficient front-desk workflow. Schedule and coordinate appointments accurately using dental practice management software. Communicate with patients and parents regarding appointments, treatment, insurance, and account balances. Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage with insurance providers. Enter and update patient insurance and demographic information accurately. Collect patient payments and assist with billing and account collections. Submit insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims and insurance payments. Review patient accounts and documentation for accuracy and completeness. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA requirements. Answer and manage a multi-line phone system professionally and efficiently. Respond to patient questions and concerns with excellent customer service and appropriate follow-through. Communicate effectively with the clinical team to help maintain an efficient daily schedule. Perform general administrative duties, including data entry, filing, scanning, typing, and document management. Monitor office supplies and communicate when supplies need to be reordered. Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming reception area. Assist with other front-office responsibilities as needed to support the team and the overall operation of the practice. Qualifications & Skills Previous dental or medical front-office experience preferred . Knowledge of dental terminology and dental insurance is strongly preferred. Experience with Curve Dental is a plus, but not required. Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software quickly. Excellent telephone and communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and stay productive in a busy environment. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities while remaining calm and professional. Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements. A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative are essential.
