Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for advancement within our practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office operations and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office while supporting both patients and medical staff.
FULL TIME MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Looking for an outgoing, detail-oriented individual who is able to multitask in a high energy, fast paced physical therapy/training facility. Hours will be 40/wk, Mon-Fri.NO WEEKENDS.
Responsibilities include greeting and scheduling clients, calling insurance companies to verify benefits and get authorizations, intake of insurance and patient payments, data entry into our EMR system, corresponding with our billing company, faxing, filing, and other office duties. Experience with insurance companies/medical terminology preferred but not required. Must be highly organized, ABLE TO MULTI-TASK, energetic and motivated to keep our patients and clients happy! Must be able to maintain focus in a loud, busy environment. This is not a pass-through/temporary position for someone who is currently going to school or taking classes toward an unrelated degree. We are only looking for someone who is seeking long-term work and becoming a part of the Livevital family. Benefits described (besides use of gym) are only available to qualifying full time employees (32+hours). ATTENTION TO DETAIL and accuracy in a fast paced, busy environment is essential Maturity to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to speak clearly and concisely Exceptional customer service skills Ability to operate computer, photocopier, fax machine Ability to exercise judgment, initiative and problem solving Ability to prioritize tasks Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and punctuationJOB DUTIES
Schedule patient and training clients Set up charts in EMR for new patients/call insurance companies to confirm eligibility and benefits Work with physical therapists to submit for and obtain insurance authorizations Ensure that client charts are kept up to date with incoming reports Collect and record copayments, patient, and training client payments Process mail and communicate payments and EOBs to billing company File and fax new evaluations to appropriate physicians File charts and pull charts for the following day •SIGN ON BONUS AFTER 6 MONTHS WITH SATISFACTORY JOB PERFORMANCE!
