Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the medical practice. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple administrative tasks efficiently. The Medical Receptionist will support medical staff by managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR). Duties Greet patients warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling needs Manage medical scheduling to ensure efficient appointment flow Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately and securely Support medical administrative tasks, including data entry, document management, and filing Utilize Microsoft Office applications for various administrative purposes Type documents quickly and accurately to support clinic operations Understand and apply medical terminology relevant to patient records and communication Assist with health insurance processing and verification as needed Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient care delivery Experience Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; relevant customer service experience is valuable Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is advantageous Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent typing skills with attention to detail Knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance processes is beneficial Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, especially over the phone Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
