The Medical Receptionist at Michigan Vascular Center is responsible for managing the front desk operations with a focus on ensuring efficient patient flow and providing exceptional service. This role is crucial in coordinating patient check-in/check-out processes, preparing charts, and scheduling activities, all while upholding the highest standards of patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate patient check-in and check-out procedures to ensure a seamless experience. Prepare and manage patient charts accurately and efficiently. Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar to optimize patient flow. Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality in all interactions. Respect and uphold patients' rights in every aspect of service delivery. Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing information and assistance as needed. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth operations and communication. Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing emails, and processing paperwork. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area. Address patient inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a medical receptionist or medical office assistant program is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. Experience with patient scheduling and chart preparation. Familiarity with maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
