Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Medical Receptionist and become the welcoming face of our clinic! This energetic role is vital in creating a positive patient experience by managing front desk operations, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help foster a caring environment where patients feel valued and supported from their first contact. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with appointment scheduling using our electronic health record (EHR) systems Praxis & OpenPM. Answering phone calls with professional etiquette, handling inquiries, appointment confirmations, and follow-up calls efficiently. Being able to direct phone calls to the correct clinical staff. Efficiently triage patient messages/concerns throughout the day. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality and data security. Support clinical staff by managing patient intake forms, updating patient demographics, and other administrative duties as assigned. Perform clerical tasks such as Filing, Data Entry, Faxing, Scanning, Responding to Voicemails, Next-day Prep, Accepting & Recording Payment, Light Organization & Cleaning , Other duties as assigned. Experience in a medical office environment or clinical experience preferred but NOT required. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Praxis, eClinicalWorks, preferred but NOT required. Requirements Excellent computer skills including the ability to navigate multiple software platforms efficiently . Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly over the phone and in person while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Office management skills including scheduling appointments accurately and managing electronic health records with attention to detail .
