Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our one physician neurology practice. Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures with our user-friendly Electronic Health Record Verify patient insurance coverage, perform insurance verification, and process medical billing using medical coding including
CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10
codes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Schedule appointments accurately utilizing multi-line phone systems and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency Manage medical records through electronic health records (EHR) management, filing, and documentation review to maintain clinical confidentiality policies Handle phone communication. Assist with medical intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating health histories in accordance with health information management standards Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining office supplies to ensure a well-organized clinic environment Experience Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is required; clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems is essential Familiarity with health insurance processes including Medicare and Medicaid billing procedures Medical terminology, clinical confidentiality policies, and documentation review processes is important! Demonstrated skills in medical coding (ICD, CPT) and medical billing practices are a plus! Computer skills required.
