Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Healthcare Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining positive patient experiences. Duties Include but not limited to: Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in/check-out process. Schedule appointments and manage the medical calendar efficiently. Handle phone calls with professionalism, addressing patient inquiries and concerns. Verify insurance coverage. Utilize electronic medical records, including Athena, to update patient information and manage scheduling. Collect co-payment and outstanding balances. Assist with administrative support tasks to ensure the clinic runs smoothly, which may include copying, faxing and filing. Receive and sort mail; accept and sign for deliveries, mail, etc. Collaborate with healthcare providers and co-workers to facilitate effective communication regarding patient care.
