Job Description
Job Description The role of the Front Desk Receptionist is to act as a liaison for patient phone calls, check patients in for appointments, gather and input registration information, schedule office appointments, and work in a team environment to perform front office support duties. This position operates in a fast‑paced environment that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and exceptional customer service skills.
Position Summary:
This is a full-time position that will be Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with occasional need to stay later as business needs arise.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, register demographic information and verify insurance.
- Answer multi-line phones, screen, and direct phone calls.
- Verify current informational status.
- Collect co-pays and take payments.
- Track all monies collected.
- Check all insurance for accuracy and make necessary phone calls.
- Be available to open and close daily.
- Coverage for coworkers at all facility locations.
- Position to be covered at all times.
- Appointment scheduling (in person and via phone) to include Mohs scheduling.
Requirements:
- Nextech proficiency required (will train, as applicable).
- Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of customer service and professionalism required.
- Experience in EMR and practice management computer systems.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- High attention to detail.
