Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and organized receptionist to join our team. Ideally someone who can play an essential role in creating a welcoming patient experience, while also keeping the front office running smoothly and efficiently. Our ideal candidate is personable, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position involves building positive relationships with patients while managing the day-to-day administrative responsibilities of the dental office.
Responsibilities include:
Welcome and check in patients in a warm, professional manner Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and assist with scheduling appointments Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments Check patients in and out and collect payments Verify insurance benefits and assist with insurance-related questions and claims Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information as needed Communicate treatment plans, appointment information, and financial details clearly with patients Coordinate closely with dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and other team members Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming reception area Handle daily administrative tasks and assist with keeping the schedule running efficiently Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance Provide exceptional customer service and help ensure every patient feels comfortable and valued What we're looking for: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Friendly, positive, and compassionate personality Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Professional appearance and demeanor Dependable and punctual Ability to work well as part of a team Comfortable learning dental terminology, scheduling software, and insurance procedures Previous dental or medical office experience is preferred but not required Our ideal team member is someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, takes pride in creating a positive patient experience, and understands that the front desk sets the tone for the entire dental visit.
Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 36.0 per week
