Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service while managing check-in and check-out procedures Schedule appointments using medical scheduling software, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflows Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical billing and collections accurately Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) systems. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately Manage medical records filing, scanning, and data entry tasks with precision and attention to detail Medical Preauthorizaiions for radiology exams Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, reviewing documentation, and handling administrative correspondence Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a medical office environment with strong clerical skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Knowledge of medical billing processes including CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, Medicare procedures, and health insurance policies Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing (10 key) capabilities Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical confidentiality policies, and health information management standards Previous clinic or hospital experience is desirable to navigate healthcare workflows efficiently Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle phone communication professionally and courteously Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in documentation review and data entry
Pay:
