Are you an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist looking to take your career to the next level? We invite you to join our dynamic team in Cary, NC, where your expertise will help shape the future of our practice. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the entire billing process, ensuring accuracy, maximizing reimbursements, and providing exceptional support to both our patients and the practice.
Compensation:
Starting Pay:
$20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Submit and track insurance claims with precision and timeliness, ensuring all necessary documentation is included. Investigate, appeal, and resolve denied or underpaid claims to ensure prompt payments. Liaise with insurance carriers to follow up on outstanding claims and address payment discrepancies. Review and rectify claim errors to facilitate proper reimbursement. Accurately post payments and conduct account reconciliations. Verify and update patient insurance information and benefits as required. Assist patients with billing inquiries and account balance questions, providing clear and compassionate support. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and all relevant billing practices. Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and office staff to promote accurate coding and billing. Analyze billing trends and identify opportunities to improve collections and processes.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of direct medical billing experience required. Proven ability to handle insurance denials, file appeals, and work directly with insurance carriers to secure payments. Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, health insurance regulations, and reimbursement methodologies. Proficiency with EHR/EMR and practice management systems. Office Practicum (OP)
