Job Description

Dental Front Office Team Member

•Avent Ferry Family Dentistry

•Holly Springs, NC Avent Ferry Family Dentistry is looking for a friendly, organized, dependable team member to join our Front Desk. We are a private practice in Holly Springs, NC looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is reliable, has a warm and friendly disposition, and enjoys a small but busy practice environment. The ideal candidate has previous dental front-office experience and is prepared to be the first point of contact for our patients, managing daily office flow, schedules, and patient communications with a warm and welcoming attitude. This position is primarily for key front desk and receptionist duties, but has the potential to develop into a different role over time that would include insurance/billing and treatment plan coordinating depending on experience and growth over time.

Job Responsibilities:

Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming experience Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions Schedule, reschedule, and confirm dental appointments Maintain an organized and productive schedule Check patients in and out efficiently Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments Verify dental insurance benefits and understand basic insurance terminology Follow up with patients who have unscheduled treatment when needed Help manage cancellations, missed appointments, and schedule openings Communicate appointment information and office policies clearly Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Work efficiently within our dental practice management software Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, and dental assistants Help keep the front office organized and running smoothly Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire patient experience What We're Looking For Previous dental front-office experience preferred Strong understanding of dental scheduling and office workflow Familiarity with dental insurance and basic insurance terminology Comfortable discussing balances, copays, and treatment fees with patients Excellent phone and communication skills Friendly, professional, and positive attitude Highly organized and able to multitask in a busy environment Reliable and dependable Comfortable learning and using dental software and technology Strong attention to detail Ability to work well as part of a team Someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and follows through Experience with Curve Dental is a plus, but not required. How would you describe your attendance and punctuality at your previous jobs? How comfortable are you handling multiple tasks at once, such as answering the phone while assisting a patient at the front desk? Are you able to be at the office no later than 7:40am to open and greet our patients?
