As the first point of contact for families, the front desk receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive experience and ensuring smooth daily operations. Position Overview The Medical Front Desk Receptionist supports the practice by managing patient check‑in and check‑out, scheduling appointments, answering phones, verifying insurance, and maintaining accurate patient information. This position works closely with other administrative and clinical team members and includes cross‑training for check‑out responsibilities. Responsibilities Provide a warm, professional greeting to patients and families upon arrival Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently Answer multi‑line phones and schedule appointments Collect copayments and verify insurance coverage Enter and update patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR Scan and organize patient records within the electronic medical record system Coordinate with providers and staff to support smooth office flow Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines Keep the front desk and lobby area clean, organized, and welcoming Qualifications High School Diploma required Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical or office setting preferred Prior front desk or receptionist experience strongly preferred Experience with Phreesia, Allscripts and Veradigm a plus - or needs to learn quickly Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer skills Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment Friendly, professional, and family‑focused demeanor Why Join HealthPark Pediatrics?
