Job Title:

Medical Receptionist (Pediatrics) We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our fast-paced healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play an essential part in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our medical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming phone calls professionally and courteously, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of all necessary documentation. Schedule and confirm appointments while maintaining a full appointment calendar. Input and update patient history, particularly for infants, into the electronic health record (EHR) system with accuracy and attention to detail. Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care. Perform various administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized medical records. Utilize Allscripts EHR software for patient management tasks and electronic documentation. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, building positive relationships and improving patient experience. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and stay comfortably engaged in non-clinical duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred. Strong background in software and technology with proficiency in EHR systems, particularly Allscripts. Familiarity with medical terminology and experience handling medical records. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy environment.

Pay:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
