Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at a busy ophthalmolgy practice. The ideal candidate should have experience with medical scheduling, be familiar with Modernizing Medicine or similar systems, and possess knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner at the front desk
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently using the clinic's scheduling system
  • Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
  • Maintain patient records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate personnel
  • Assist with administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the clinic
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Modernizing Medicine or similar medical office software
  • Experience working as a Medical Receptionist in a clinical setting
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Familiarity with front desk operations in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
