Front Desk Medical Receptionist Dr Isaac Pain and Injection Clinic Englewood Cliffs, NJ Job Details Full-time $16 - $25 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications English Korean Records management Attention to detail Clinical information systems Full Job Description Physician-Owned Interventional Pain Practice | Englewood Cliffs, NJ We are a growing, physician-owned interventional pain practice seeking a friendly, polished, reliable, and professional full-time Front Desk & Insurance Coordinator to join our team. This position will be responsible for creating an exceptional patient experience while also assisting with the administrative and insurance-related operations of the practice , including insurance eligibility and benefits verification, prior authorizations, insurance calls, patient payments, and basic RCM/billing-related tasks. Korean-speaking is strongly preferred , but not required. No prior medical office experience is required. Training will be provided for the right candidate. ResponsibilitiesFront Desk & Patient Experience Greet patients with a warm smile and welcoming attitude Provide an exceptional and professional patient experience Answer phones and respond to patient calls and messages Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments Check patients in and out Verify and update patient demographics Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and patient balances Communicate with patients regarding appointments, forms, instructions, and other administrative matters Insurance & Prior Authorizations Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Determine in-network and out-of-network benefits Obtain and document benefit information Assist with prior authorizations for procedures, imaging, and medications Submit and follow up on authorization requests Make phone calls to insurance companies regarding eligibility, benefits, authorizations, and claims Communicate with insurance representatives and document call reference numbers and benefit information Follow up on pending or denied authorizations Assist with obtaining medical records or clinical documentation required for authorization Maintain accurate insurance and authorization records Billing / RCM Support Assist with basic billing and revenue cycle management (RCM) tasks Assist with patient-account questions and balances Follow up on outstanding administrative billing issues Communicate with the billing/RCM company when necessary Provide requested documentation to support claims and authorizations Assist with reviewing insurance-related issues that may affect payment Maintain organized records of insurance calls, authorizations, and billing-related communications General Office Operations Prepare charts and paperwork for appointments and procedures Obtain outside medical records and imaging reports when needed Coordinate the physician's daily schedule Maintain organized and accurate patient records Assist the physician with day-to-day office operations Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk Perform other administrative duties as needed Qualifications Full-time availability required English-speaking required Korean-speaking strongly preferred Friendly, personable, and comfortable interacting with patients Excellent customer-service and communication skills Comfortable speaking with insurance companies by phone Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document information Reliable, punctual, organized, and dependable Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly Comfortable handling confidential patient and insurance information Prior experience with medical billing, insurance verification, prior authorizations, RCM, or medical office administration is a plus No prior medical office experience required — training will be provided Comfortable working independently and taking initiative Professional Appearance & Presentation Our Front Desk & Insurance Coordinator will be one of the first impressions of our practice , and we place a strong emphasis on professional presentation. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is warm, personable, polished, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented , with the ability to balance excellent patient service with accurate administrative work. You will be trained on our specific EHR, scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorization, and billing/RCM workflows , so prior medical office experience is not required. Because we are a growing physician-owned practice, we are looking for someone who wants to become a long-term and important member of our team .
