Job Description
Job Summary Inspirada Pediatrics is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our pediatric practice. Our front desk team is often the first and last point of contact for our patients and their families, so we are looking for someone who provides excellent customer service while remaining professional, efficient, and detail-oriented in a busy medical office. The ideal candidate will have previous medical front desk or medical office experience and be comfortable with patient scheduling, insurance verification, collecting copays and outstanding balances, answering phones, and maintaining accurate patient information. Previous pediatric medical office experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Greet patients and families in a friendly and professional manner Check patients in and out for appointments Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information Verify insurance eligibility and benefits Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding patient balances Accurately document payments and provide receipts Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments Understand different appointment types and schedule patients appropriately Answer and manage a high volume of incoming phone calls Respond to patient and parent questions professionally and appropriately Take accurate messages and route calls to the appropriate staff member or clinical team Register new patients and ensure required paperwork is completed Scan and upload insurance cards, identification, forms, and other documentation into the patient's chart Assist patients with accessing and using the patient portal Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, billing staff, and other members of the team Help maintain an organized and efficient front desk and waiting area Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance at all times Perform additional front-office administrative duties as assigned
