We are a high volume, successful neurosurgery practice requiring dedication and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. What's required?

Minimum:

twelve (12) months experience in working in a physician practice. Ability to work with patients and make them feel comfortable. Working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and Worker's Compensation. Knowledge and understanding of CPT and

ICD-10-CM

coding for specialty. Proficient with practice management software and all Microsoft Office programs. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and in a calm and pleasant manner.

Duties include:

Scheduling office visit appointments for Pain Management Department Obtaining office visit referrals and authorizations Running reports for visits Speaking with referring physician offices to schedule new patient appointments and obtain previous notes and imaging Verifying new patient insurance eligibility and benefits Informing patients of information required at the time of appointment Interact with patients coming into Sierra Neurosurgery Group Retrieve and respond to written and telephone inquiries from patients, facilities, or others regarding planned procedures, testing, etc. in a timely manner.
