Overview On-Site, In-Person, 4-5 Days a Week, Mon-Sat Our growing, patient-focused dental practice is seeking an experienced Front Desk Reception Specialist. This role requires a friendly, detail-oriented professional who can manage our front desk operations while efficiently handling all calls, patient relations, insurance and benefits verification, collections and other important Front Desk duties. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, knowledge of dental terminology, and proven experience taking initiative to smoothly and efficiently running the Front Desk in a busy dental practice. In this role, you'll be the friendly face greeting patients, managing appointment scheduling, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment while maintaining accurate scheduling, patient and financial records. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine exceptional customer service with vital administrative lead in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, check-in, and assist with new patient registration Schedule appointments efficiently, managing calendar updates and patient flow Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary payments Support Billing with insurance claims work, including follow-up and resolution using billing software and EMR/EHR, Open Dental systems Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with regulations Stay up-to-date on insurance policies, medical terminology, treatments, products and all guidelines Own front desk responsibilities such as managing the office space, inventory and ordering of office supplies, operating and maintaining office equipment, etc. Skills Proficiency in dental office management software, billing software such as Dentrix, and Open Dental, and Microsoft Office tools Excellent communication skills with the ability to appeal to various audiences Ability to take initiative, think outside of the box, and take the lead Organized, with experience in managing front desk duties Familiarity with healthcare claims management, medical coding and billing procedures Experience working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems in a healthcare setting Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and insurance providers Advanced understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology and records management Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment English, with additional Second Language is a major plus (especially Chinese, and/or Korean) This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to make a positive impact on patients' lives while ensuring the financial health of the practice. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
