Job Description

Rifkin Dental is looking for an energetic, personable, and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Administrator to join our team in Yorktown Heights, NY. We are a patient-focused dental practice that places a strong emphasis on exceptional customer service, teamwork, communication, and creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. •4:00 PM Two Saturdays per month: 8:00 AM

•1:00 PM Responsibilities As a member of our front office team, you will help manage the patient experience from scheduling through checkout.

Responsibilities include:

Scheduling and confirming patient appointments using Dentrix Answering incoming calls and assisting patients with questions Communicating with patients by phone, text, and email Creating a welcoming and professional experience for patients Reviewing estimated insurance benefits and patient financial responsibilities Answering patient questions regarding dental insurance coverage Collecting and processing patient payments Sending dental insurance claims Requesting and tracking insurance pre-authorizations Helping patients understand PPO dental insurance benefits Maintaining accurate patient information and documentation Coordinating with doctors, hygienists, and other team members to keep the schedule running efficiently Helping resolve patient concerns in a professional and empathetic manner Providing general administrative and front office support Performing other duties that contribute to an exceptional patient experience Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of dental office experience required Dentrix experience required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Friendly, professional, and genuinely positive attitude Strong attention to detail Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Comfortable communicating with patients in person, by phone, text, and email Comfortable discussing insurance benefits and financial responsibilities with patients Knowledge of PPO dental insurance plans is strongly preferred Strong computer skills and ability to learn new technology quickly Ability to accept feedback and continuously improve Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team High school diploma or equivalent What We Value At Rifkin Dental, technical skills are important, but so is how you contribute to the team and patient experience.
