Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Office Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently utilizing dental office management software. Collect and process patient payments, insurance co-pays, and perform medical billing using knowledge of health insurance policies including Medicare and Medicaid. Manage patient records with accuracy by updating medical histories, treatment plans, and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and providing excellent customer service. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely flow of patient information, including Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, file medical records securely, and perform general clerical duties such as data entry, filing, and 10 key typing. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar dental office administrative support role within a dental clinic setting. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Soft Dent or similar dental soft ware. Knowledge of health insurance processes including billing procedures for Medicare and understanding of health information management policies. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly under clinical confidentiality policies. Demonstrated experience in dental coding documentation review is preferred. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
