Experienced Medical Receptionist (Part-Time) Neurology Diagnostics, Inc. is a busy, independent neurology practice seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist who is compassionate, organized, and committed to providing exceptional patient care. Our practice specializes in outpatient neurological care, diagnostic testing, and clinical research, with a strong focus on delivering outstanding customer service in a welcoming environment. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced medical office, enjoys working collaboratively, and is dedicated to ensuring every patient has a positive experience from check-in to check-out. Responsibilities Greet patients and perform check-in and check-out Schedule and confirm appointments Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient questions Verify insurance information and obtain prior authorizations Process referrals and coordinate with referring providers Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding patient balances Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance information Assist with general front office operations to support efficient patient flow Medical Assistant experience is a plus. The right candidate will be given the opportunity to cross-train and assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for their appointments. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of medical office front desk experience preferred Medical Assistant experience is preferred but not required Experience with electronic medical records (Athenahealth experience is a plus) Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and a strong team player Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care Position Details Part-Time Monday-Thursday Competitive hourly pay based on experience If you are looking for an opportunity to join a growing, patient-focused neurology practice where you can expand your skills and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives, we encourage you to apply!
