Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Obtain and record vital signs, patient history, and current medications accurately to support clinical assessments Assist healthcare providers with procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when needed Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic workflow Maintain organized medical records, ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, and update documentation in EMR/EHR systems Support clinical staff with tasks related to dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or inpatient settings as required Handle administrative duties including answering phones, managing patient inquiries, verifying insurance information, and processing referrals Skills Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and pharmacology to support accurate documentation and patient care Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management for efficient data entry and retrieval Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations Experience with medical office management including scheduling software, billing procedures, and medical records maintenance Familiarity with hospital medicine environments such as Level II trauma centers or inpatient units is preferred Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures accurately and confidently in outpatient or inpatient settings Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and basic life support certification to handle urgent situations effectively Join our team if you're passionate about delivering outstanding patient care while supporting clinical operations!
