Job Summary Full-Time Medical Receptionist Wholesome Health is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join our team! We are a busy, patient-centered functional medicine practice that believes healthcare should feel personal. Many of our patients come to us after long and complicated health journeys, so the person at our front desk plays an incredibly important role in making them feel welcomed, heard, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, confident, organized, and genuinely enjoys working with people. The right person will be able to create a warm and welcoming environment while also managing the fast pace and many moving pieces of a busy medical office. Previous medical office/reception experience is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Include Greeting patients warmly and professionally Answering and managing a busy phone line Scheduling and rescheduling appointments accurately Checking patients in and out Collecting payments and providing receipts Communicating clearly and compassionately with patients Managing patient messages and directing them appropriately Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Keeping the front desk and waiting areas organized and welcoming Completing administrative tasks accurately and efficiently Communicating closely with providers and other team members Handling multiple responsibilities without losing attention to detail The Person Who Will Thrive Here You may be a great fit if you: Have previous receptionist, medical office, or healthcare experience Are naturally warm, friendly, and welcoming Are comfortable working in a busy environment Can confidently multitask and prioritize Are dependable and punctual Have strong attention to detail Communicate professionally in person and over the phone Are comfortable learning new systems and technology Take initiative instead of waiting to be told what needs done Work well as part of a team Can remain calm and kind when patients are frustrated, sick, or overwhelmed Understand the importance of confidentiality and professionalism Want to be part of a practice where patients are treated like people—not numbers About Wholesome Health Wholesome Health is a functional and holistic healthcare practice focused on getting to the root of our patients' health concerns and providing individualized care.
