Medical Receptionist Location:

Worthington, Ohio Position Summary Ohio Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a dependable, professional, and patient-focused Medical Receptionist to join our Worthington office. The Medical Receptionist is an important part of the patient experience and is responsible for providing excellent customer service while supporting the daily operations of the front office. Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner. Answer incoming telephone calls and appropriately route calls and messages. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Verify patient demographic and insurance information. Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other patient payments. Check patients out and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Scan, fax, and upload patient documentation. Assist with insurance verification and other front-office administrative responsibilities. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, billing staff, and other team members. Help maintain an organized and efficient front-office environment. Assist with patient flow and other office responsibilities as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous medical office or medical receptionist experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment. Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, and standard office equipment. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team. Physical Requirements This position requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and computer use.
