  • 8-5 Looking for a meaningful medical-office position without a five-day workweek?
Banister Nutrition is seeking an experienced , dependable Medical Front Office Professional to join our busy and friendly outpatient nutrition practice in Oklahoma City. This is a unique position for someone who enjoys medical office work, likes staying busy, and wants a consistent two-day-a-week schedule while still being an important part of the team.
  • Regular Schedule:
    
Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • There will also be opportunities to provide additional fill-in coverage when regular front-office staff members are out of the office. What You'll Do You will be trained in all major front-office responsibilities so you can provide strong support wherever needed, including:
  • Greeting and assisting patients in a warm, professional manner
  • Answering a busy multi-line phone
  • Scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments
  • Processing incoming physician referrals
  • Entering patient and referral information accurately
  • Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits accurately
  • Collecting and maintaining accurate patient information
  • Assisting with medical records and provider communications
  • Faxing and tracking clinical documentation
  • Supporting front-office team members during busy periods
  • Providing fill-in coverage when needed
Who We're Looking For:
This is not an entry-level medical office position. The ideal candidate will have previous medical front-office experience and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
You should have:
  • Previous medical office experience
  • Strong experience with insurance verification
  • Experience with patient scheduling and reception
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • The ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • A warm, courteous, patient-focused manner
  • Dependability and excellent attendance
  • The ability to arrive on time and be ready to work at the scheduled start time
  • Good judgment and professional communication
  • Willingness to learn all aspects of the front office and step in when and where needed Why This Position May Be a

We are fortunate to receive a high volume of physician referrals, and our front-office team plays an essential role in helping patients successfully connect with our dietitians. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing things well, follows through, communicates clearly, and genuinely enjoys helping patients and coworkers. Pay:
$15.00
