Job Description

River Therapies, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler and Front Desk Manager to join our pediatric healthcare team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling over 300 appointments a week, managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth patient experience, lead and manage our clinical team, and providing essential administrative support within our medical facility. This role requires strong communication and multi-tasking skills, proficiency in various software systems, and a thorough understanding of medical terminology and coding, as well as medical billing practices. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at all times. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling as necessary. Handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information. Manage therapist caseload requirements, including meeting weekly with therapists to review overall productivity numbers. Utilize EMR system Understanding CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and other relevant coding systems. Medical billing responsibilities and duties. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and assist in patient intake procedures. Perform clerical duties including cleaning, filing, typing, and maintaining organized medical records. Provide administrative support to the medical office team as needed. Experience Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is essential; experience with ICD coding is a plus. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills relevant to office management tasks. Experience with medical billing procedures. Strong organizational skills along with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment are required.
