Job Description
Overview The Procedure Scheduler is responsible for managing procedure schedules for patient procedures. Coordinates an effective, efficient process for patients. Completes various medical office function collaborating with hospital partners, authorizations, clinical staff, insurances, completes patient registration, medical record, and other tasks Responsibilities Manage multiple areas of scheduling logistics to include, schedule changes due to physician(s) vacation, the addition of more physician and the analysis by physician, office and hospital locations to assure maximum efficiency. Manage, review and analyze the volume of procedures and rounding at all of our primary hospitals Manage the weekday hospital schedules for the physicians. Maintains procedure schedule and accurately prepare final procedure schedule for timely distribution. Monitors physician block time. Schedules procedures to be performed in facility. Confirms patient procedure times with the appropriate hospital operating department. Completes reminder calls for patient procedure times and appointments, providing appropriate procedure instructions as outlined in the approved and valid clinical protocols. Coordinates cases with medical reps and surgical schedulers. Prepares appropriate supporting documentation for procedures as outlined in the approved and valid clinical protocols. 2/4 Provide excellent patient satisfaction and care by providing the best service at the right time and at the right location by the right physician. Perform all other duties as assigned by management within job scope. Qualifications High School Diploma/Equivalent 1 year Medical office or hospital scheduling experience
