Medical Receptionist, Part Time Veritas Behavioral Health PLLC Tyler, TX Job Details Part-time $15 - $20 an hour 9 hours ago Qualifications Private health insurance Medicare HIPAA Administrative experience Phone etiquette Medical terminology Full Job Description Overview Veritas Behavioral Health is seeking a Part-Time Medical Receptionist (15-20 hours per week). In this role, you will manage front desk operations, answer calls, coordinate appointments, and ensure a seamless patient experience. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service Schedule appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system (SimplePractice) Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle medical billing and collections in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review and update medical records, ensuring proper documentation review and adherence to clinical confidentiality policies Answer phone systems with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and manage appointment reminders Maintain organized filing of medical records, perform data entry with 10-key typing skills, and support administrative tasks using Microsoft Office tools Skills Proven experience in medical office management or clinic administrative support with strong clerical skills Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems such as SimplePractice or familiarity with electronic health records management Strong understanding of health insurance procedures including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing processes Excellent communication skills Proficiency in medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation review processes Ability to handle sensitive patient information following HIPAA guidelines with strict confidentiality Competent in Google suite applications; capable of managing medical records, filing systems, and office correspondence efficiently Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Authorized for US Employment High School Diploma or equivalent Previous experience preferred but not required Tech savvy
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
