We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing administrative support, managing patient interactions, and maintaining accurate medical records. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in various electronic health record (EHR) systems, and a commitment to upholding patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy. Schedule patient appointments efficiently while ensuring optimal use of clinic resources. Perform insurance verification and assist patients with understanding their coverage options. . Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Assist in filing and organizing medical records to ensure easy access for healthcare providers. Support the medical team with clerical tasks as needed to enhance office efficiency. Requirements Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications; typing proficiency is required (10 key typing experience is a plus). Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are necessary for effective patient interactions. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
