As we continue to grow, we are seeking a polished, service-driven Full time Medical Receptionist to join our communications department. Position Overview The Communications Department Representative is often one of the first points of contact for our patients and plays an important role in creating a positive patient experience. This position is responsible for managing incoming patient calls, scheduling appointments, assisting with insurance-related questions, creating and updating patient accounts, and appropriately routing clinical and administrative concerns to the appropriate team members. The successful candidate will be able to balance excellent customer service with accuracy, efficiency, and sound judgment in a fast-paced medical environment. Why Join Us? Established, respected practice with long-term stability Supportive, team-oriented culture Meaningful work helping patients feel confident, cared for, and supported Key Responsibilities Answer a high volume of incoming patient calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner Accurately enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, determine network participation, and confirm whether the practice files claims with the patient's insurance carrier Communicate insurance coverage details, financial responsibilities, and potential coverage limitations clearly and professionally Schedule a wide variety of patient appointments across multiple provider schedules using sound judgment and critical thinking Collect deposits, copayments, and outstanding balances with accuracy and professionalism Maintain confidentiality and ensure full HIPAA compliance Utilize strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient patient scheduling and smooth office workflow What We're Looking For Previous experience in a medical or healthcare office ( required ) Strong knowledge of insurance verification and processing ( required ) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patient-focused mindset with exceptional customer service abilities Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability
