Job Description

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AT CAROLINA PEDIATRICS AND ADOLESCENT CARE
Carolina Pediatrics is seeking a Front Office Medical Receptionist who enjoying working with children. In this position, you will help our patients schedule appointments, collect insurance and health information, and input all relevant data into our electronic health records. You will also answer phones and perform other receptionist duties. While we do not require you to have a degree, you do need to be familiar with medical terminology, so a certificate in medical coding is beneficial. Full-time position benefits include insurance, retirement, paid time off, and paid holidays Education requirements: High school diploma or GED certificate Duties include but not limited to: Answer phone calls and emails Help patients schedule appointments Collect and store medical information from patients Maintain EMRs and physical filing systems Create a welcoming environment in the front office Help families deal with a child's illness or injury Must be honest, dependable and forthright, with the ability to confidently work without direct supervision Maintain a positive attitude - always be willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed Must be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive manner Must be flexible - willing to work a varied schedule Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy Interact with customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner Complete referrals and set up additional appointments as needed
