About Our Practice We are a small, patient-centered functional medicine practice with one medical provider. We focus on personalized patient care, building strong relationships with our patients, and creating a welcoming, professional office environment. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and personable Medical Front Desk Coordinator with a healthcare background and excellent communication skills. Position Overview The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience working in a medical office and enjoys interacting with patients. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and supporting the physician and patients throughout the day. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and provide a professional, welcoming experience. Answer telephone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and communicate clearly and courteously. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments. Manage check-in and check-out procedures. Maintain accurate patient records and assist with electronic medical records (EMR). Coordinate patient communications, referrals, and medical records as needed. Assist with insurance verification and billing-related administrative tasks. Communicate with the physician regarding patient needs and office operations. Maintain an organized, efficient, and pleasant front office. Support the overall workflow of a small functional medicine practice. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional, friendly, and compassionate demeanor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a small office. Comfortable learning and using electronic medical records and office software. Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a small team. Medical assistant, medical office assistant, patient care coordinator, or similar healthcare experience preferred.
