Role:

Middle Tennessee Internal Medicine is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our Nashville practice. If you thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment and love making patients feel at ease, this is the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service Answer multi-line phone system and route calls to appropriate clinical staff Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information in EMR system Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers as needed Manage front desk operations including filing, faxing, and patient correspondence

Requirements:

1+ year of experience in a medical front office or healthcare setting preferred Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and medical scheduling software Knowledge of insurance verification, co-pays, and basic medical billing Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment High school diploma or equivalent required Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
