The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, ensuring a positive and efficient experience at our medical facility. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a friendly demeanor.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude, creating a positive first impression of the facility. Register new patients and update existing patient information accurately in the electronic health records (EHR) system. Verify patient insurance information and assist in filling out necessary forms and documents. Schedule patient appointments, coordinating with medical staff and maintaining the appointment calendar. Answer incoming calls, address inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate departments or medical personnel. Assist patients in completing required medical forms, consents, and any other necessary paperwork. Collect and process patient co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances in accordance with established procedures. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely responses to patient needs. Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate billing and record-keeping. Handle patient concerns and complaints with professionalism, aiming to resolve issues promptly and escalate if necessary. Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure efficient daily operations of the medical facility. Adhere to privacy and confidentiality regulations when handling patient information and medical records. Stay updated on medical facility policies, procedures, and any changes in healthcare regulations.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus. Must have experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting. Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is advantageous. Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure and maintain a positive attitude. Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
