Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, strong administrative capabilities, and a thorough understanding of dental office operations. This role is vital in ensuring smooth clinic functioning, managing patient interactions, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments efficiently using electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while maintaining accurate documentation review and data entry. Handle medical billing and collections, including Medicare and health insurance claims, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain organized medical records and ensure confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Assist with medical coding procedures, including CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding for accurate billing and documentation. Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Support clinic operations by managing appointment scheduling, confirming upcoming visits, and coordinating with clinical staff for care plans. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for administrative support tasks such as filing, data management, and report generation. Requirements Previous experience working in a medical or dental office environment with strong clerical and administrative skills. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with electronic health records management is essential. Knowledge of health insurance processes including medical billing, claims submission, and insurance verification procedures. Understanding of medical terminology, clinical confidentiality policies, and health information management standards. Experience with medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10) and documentation review to ensure accurate billing practices. Excellent communication skills both on the phone and face-to-face; bilingual abilities are a plus. Strong computer skills including typing (10 key typing), Microsoft Office applications, and data entry accuracy. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Demonstrated professionalism with a focus on patient service excellence and office management.
