The ideal candidate has experience in dental scheduling, patient communication, insurance verification, and dental billing. This role is essential in creating a welcoming patient experience while ensuring accurate administrative and financial operations. Responsibilities Greet patients and provide exceptional customer service. Answer multi-line phones and manage patient inquiries. Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments. Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to appointments. Obtain pre-authorizations and submit insurance documentation as needed. Process dental claims electronically and follow up on outstanding insurance claims. Post insurance and patient payments accurately. Prepare and present treatment estimates based on insurance benefits. Collect patient co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances. Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic and insurance information. Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow. Manage recall and reactivation efforts to maintain a productive schedule. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental front office preferred. Knowledge of dental insurance plans, benefit verification, and claim processing. Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar). Familiarity with CDT coding and dental billing procedures. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and accuracy.
