Responsibilities Manage patient appointments, confirmations, and rescheduling using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information and scheduling assistance while maintaining patient confidentiality Support medical administrative tasks such as data entry, document processing, and maintaining accurate records in compliance with health regulation policies Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and understanding health insurance policies to facilitate smooth billing processes Maintain organized electronic health records (EHR), ensuring all patient information is up-to-date, accurate, and secure Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, guiding them through procedures, and fostering a positive experience Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient flow of patient information and office operations while adhering to medical terminology standards Skills Proven experience in a medical or dental office environment with strong knowledge of health regulation policies Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes Familiarity with patient management software and Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems for effective record keeping Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly over the phone and in person Knowledge of health insurance procedures, billing practices, and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care settings Ability to type quickly and accurately to support administrative workflows efficiently Join us as a Dental Office Business Assistant where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly impact the quality of care we provide.
