Full Job Description Company:
Amaya Hospice As our Medical Receptionist and Medical Records Personnel, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. You will be in charge of managing the reception desk, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support to our medical team. Additionally, you will also handle the management and maintenance of our patients' medical records, ensuring that they are accurate, secure, and confidential.
Key responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist all visitors, patients, and families to the hospice and palliative care facility in a friendly and professional manner. Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate department or person.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar for medical staff.
  • Assist patients with filling out necessary forms and obtaining necessary signatures.
  • Ensure that all medical records are accurately filled out, including patient demographics, medical history, and insurance information.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic medical records, ensuring they are filed and archived properly.
  • Follow up with medical staff to obtain any missing or incomplete information in the medical records.
  • Protect patient confidentiality by following all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with internal staff and external stakeholders regarding medical records requests and inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Experience with medical records management and HIPAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records software.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Pay:
$14.00
  • $20.
00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
