In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience. Your responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, handling medical records, verifying insurance information, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for supporting healthcare operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care while working in a dynamic medical environment. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing outstanding front desk support and phone etiquette. Schedule appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as EMA and Care cloud. Verify patient insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical collections with attention to detail. Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Assist with documentation review, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and billing processes to ensure accurate medical billing and coding. Answer incoming calls promptly, directing inquiries appropriately and providing excellent customer service. Support clinic operations by managing filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and administrative tasks using Microsoft Office tools. Review care plans and ensure proper documentation for clinical accuracy and compliance with health information management standards. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or administrative support within a healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of health insurance procedures including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA regulations, and health information management. Excellent communication skills—bilingual abilities are a plus—and the ability to handle phone communication professionally. Demonstrated clerical experience including filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing electronic health records. Computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; ability to perform typing at 10 key speed is preferred. Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare terminology to ensure compliance with privacy standards. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
