Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and organized Dental Front Desk Coordinator to join our growing private practice. You are the first smile our patients see and the voice of our office. The ideal candidate must be completely well-versed in Open Dental software , highly detail-oriented, and experienced in managing patient scheduling, insurance verification, and electronic billing workflows.
Patient Management & Scheduling:
Greet and check-in patients warmly, managing the daily appointment book in Open Dental to optimize provider chair time. Utilize Open Dental eServices for automated text/email reminders, eConfirmations, and two-way patient messaging. Manage the patient recall system and track the ASAP/unscheduled treatment list.
Insurance & Financial Coordination:
Verify patient insurance eligibility, breakdowns, and coverage limits directly through software integrations. Enter and track insurance claims, manage secondary claims, and post insurance checks accurately. Present treatment plans with clear financial breakdowns and collect co-pays or balances at the time of service.
Administrative & Digital Workflow:
Use Open Dental digital Kiosk/eClipboard features for seamless digital patient intake and medical history updates. Handle multi-line phone calls, new patient inquiries, and emergency scheduling. Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA confidentiality guidelines. Requirements & Qualifications Minimum 1 to 2 years of dental front office experience.
Required:
Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with Open Dental software (scheduling, billing, and treatment planner modules). Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, CDT billing codes, and insurance processing. Exceptional customer service, professional phone etiquette, and multitasking capability. $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
