Job Description

Optimus Therapeutics is seeking a friendly, dependable, and organized Medical Front Desk Coordinator to support the daily operations of our outpatient physical therapy clinic. The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, communicates professionally, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Greet and check patients in and out. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries. Schedule new patient evaluations and follow-up appointments. Manage cancellations, rescheduling, and therapist schedules. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Determine prior authorization and referral requirements. Obtain and track insurance authorizations and approved visits. Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and patient balances. Maintain accurate patient demographics and insurance information. Scan and upload referrals, intake forms, and other documents into the EMR. Send and receive medical records, evaluations, plans of care, and physician documentation. Follow up with physician offices regarding referrals and signatures. Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. Maintain an organized and professional front desk area. Assist with general clinic administrative duties as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical office or healthcare front desk experience preferred. Insurance verification and authorization experience preferred. EMR experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently.
