Job Description

Hub City Allergy & Asthma is a new solo allergy and immunology practice opening in Lubbock this November. We're looking for a Receptionist/Front Office Coordinator to be the first friendly face our patients see — someone who's organized, personable, and comfortable being the hub (no pun intended) of a small, fast-moving front office. We are seeking a dedicated medical receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, and checking patients in. You will also collect co-pays and patient balances, verify and update insurance and demographics at each visit and manage intake forms and waiting room flow. You will be cross-trained to help room patients when the Medical Assistant is out. The candidate needs to possess 1-2 years of clinical experience, and have insurance verification experience. Office administration experience is a plus. This position offers an engaging environment where patient safety and quality care are top priorities. Additional Responsibilities Performing insurance benefits verification. Respond to patient portal messages efficiently to support ongoing patient needs. Maintain BLS certification and stay prepared to respond to emergency situations, including anaphylaxis. Cross-train on additional clinical tasks including rooming and patient intake to support clinic operations. Skills 1-2 years of medical office experience.
CPR/ BLS
certification is required to ensure readiness for emergency response. Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and team members effectively. Ability to follow detailed protocols and safety guidelines diligently. Flexibility to cross-train on various clinical tasks as needed for clinic efficiency. Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
