We are seeking a professional and dependable Medical Receptionist to join our team and support daily operations across our medical practices. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital part in creating a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service, excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive and professional first impression. Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a calm, courteous, and efficient manner. Respond to basic patient inquiries via phone and email with accuracy and professionalism. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments while maintaining provider calendars. Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, scanning, filing, and document management. Maintain accurate and organized patient records to ensure accessibility for referring physicians and clinical staff. Verify patient information, insurance details, and required documentation prior to appointments. Collect co-payments and assist with basic billing inquiries when necessary. Communicate effectively with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day. Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all healthcare privacy regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to remain composed while multitasking. A commitment to delivering outstanding patient care and administrative support is essential for success in this role.
