Medical Receptionist (Full-Time)
Location:
New Braunfels, TX About Us CTXAA is a growing Allergy & Asthma specialty practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care in a professional, friendly, and team-oriented environment. We are looking for a dependable, positive, and customer-focused Medical Receptionist who enjoys helping patients and thrives in a busy medical office. Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required . We are willing to train the right individual who has a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Position Summary The Medical Receptionist is often the first point of contact for our patients. This position plays a vital role in creating a welcoming experience while ensuring appointments, patient records, insurance information, and daily front office operations run efficiently. Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion. Answer multi-line telephone calls and assist patients with scheduling, questions, and requests. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Register new patients and accurately update demographic and insurance information. Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations when applicable. Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments. Process referrals and schedule new patient consultations. Maintain accurate electronic medical records. Scan and upload patient documentation. Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, and other staff members. Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance. Perform additional front office duties as assigned. Qualifications Preferred Previous experience in a medical office or customer service environment Knowledge of medical terminology Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) Experience verifying insurance benefits Experience handling multiple phone lines Cash handling and payment collection experience Required Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Professional appearance and attitude Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and punctuality Basic computer proficiency Ability to work well independently and as part of a team Training Previous medical office experience is preferred but not required . We provide comprehensive training for motivated candidates who demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and a desire to learn. Travel Requirements This position is primarily based in our New Braunfels clinic. Candidates must be willing to travel to our Schertz clinic when operational needs require (this is a rare occasion).
